Born in Salzburg in 1956, he studied stage and costume design at the Mozarteum. After working as an assistant to Prof. Schneider-Siemssen, Mag. Solt worked at major theaters in London, Buenos Aires, New York, Seattle, Arena di Verona, and Salzburg.

From 2001 to 2025, he developed and produced the stage designs and, in some cases, the light projections for the Salzburg Advent Singing in the Großes Festspielhaus with a trusted team. The accomplished stage designer drew on his international experience to create the new Advent Singing stages each year.
